acronymer asked:

I have to design a programme lock (security system) that is operated by microcontroller-based system. This should be a temper proof lock that will allow entry only when a correct password is entered. if the password is keyed in wrongly for 3 times in a row, the system will give out a warning sound and output an error message. So i wonder what type of switches and keypad is suitable for this security system and how does it works.

We had a security system for 5 years. We discontinued the service a year ago, but the equipment is still connected to the phone and electric outlet. Is there a way to disconnect the box without setting it off?
